Scott, I did them as mpg files and ac3 files. I’m not sure if the compression setting was different for each part – it should be the same. Would that effect it or do I just need to render it as mpg?
This is probably the simpliest solution. Thanks! James

Thanks John!
The way it was recorded is that there was part 1, then bonus lesson 1, then part 2, bonus lesson 2, etc. The client wanted the lessons all together and then all the bonus material together.
What I was hoping is trying to avoid re-editing, creating 1 file with all the parts. I have 9 DVDs…
Thanks again. Hopefully there is another solution… James

Mike what I was really asking is that you use the constant bit rather than the variable?
Thanks again Mike.

Mike, You use a constant bit rate instead of variable? Sony’s default is variable.
Thanks, James

Any solutions to backing up preferences since this was written several months ago? I have the same issue – about 30 rendering preferences from Vegas 8, none read in Vegas 9 after copying them to the rendering folder…
Thanks!

Dear Joe,
That does work for the image but does not do it for the text. Plus the highlight does not “come on” when the button disolves in.
After spending 7 hours or more today trying to figure it out, I think that DVDA can not do this simple request.
Thanks!!! James

Thanks for everyone input.
From everyone’s reponse and what I could (or could not) find an audio CD protection system that works does not exist.
Thanks again, James

I looked at their website and it looks like it is mainly for data.
They state the the protected audio CDs will not play in regular audio CD players so for my situation that would not work.
Thanks for the info! James

Thanks for your response.
It’s been several years since I had Macrovision put on any tape.
You have to take it to a tape duplicator that specializes in Macrovision, They have a special encoder to put the Macrovision copy protection on each tape. I used to duplicate 100 or more at a time and it added $.90 per tape.
“That’s my own experience, I captured few of my sons
favourite tales to archive them on DVD.
All those VHS tapes were “protected” by macrovision”I do believe that is correct. Macrovision was used by most of the movies distributors. Basically what it does is remove the sync and when you attempt to make a copy there is no sync. As you stated there are ways to put the sync back in, if you know what to do.
All the best, James
