    Hi Dan,
I’m also getting the same error in CS5 on line 18:

I’ve had success with using a material with an alpha channel. You can set the alpha channel to gradient and then keyframe that. The Cow Team may have a better method.

I don’t know about baking, but you can definitely use the Shader Effector to change the color of a clone, or multiple clones.

You could try lowering the Sample Distance under the Visibility tab. That has worked for me.

Nice! It was the rubber parameter. I think the shape has something to do with it also, but it’s much closer now. Good idea translating 10.5 to 11.5!

I’ll second that request, since I’ve run into this aswell. Could it be “Collision Noise” under the Collision tab of the Rigid Body tag?

I never solved this problem, but it may interest someone to know that I made some progress by changing movie clips instances into graphic symbols. If you have a graphic symbol with animation nested inside, even if there’s no animation on the main timeline, you can publish the swf and AE will display it properly.

  • to OP, late response, but try changing the movie clips in the main timeline into graphic symbols, paying attention to the looping settings in the properties inspector

I don’t know if you have this is AE 8, but the Cylinder effect might work for you. Effects->Perspective->CC Cyclinder

  • That sounds awesome. Unfortunately it looks like CS4 no longer has that option…

I found a hack to address this. Open the swf and scale it up as before (to 5242×1080 in this case). The swf will only display the left 4000 pixels, the remaining 1242 pixels on the right get cropped. Duplicate the swf layer and precompose it. In the precomp, slide the swf to the left so that the right side of the animation is now in the middle of the comp. Back in the original composition, line up the precomp with the original swf layer so it looks like there’s only one layer. Basically use a seperate peice of the animation to patch the hole that popped up because of the continuous rasterization problem.

A friend told me this problem has to do with SWFs having a size limit of 4000×4000.
