    Hi,

I’m running Snow Leopard and R11.5

I have a cube cloned in via mograph cloner in Grid array on 30 times on X and 60 on Z. I am using a random effector to move the cloned cubes randomly in Y. So it’s a burbling field of cube clones. Eventually I would like to have one cube stick out a little farther that the other clones and turn red. Please see link for reference.

My gut tells me I have to bake this which I’m not very familiar with, and then somehow change the color of that one clone. I am close?

    Thanks very much.

Link to the project here if interested.

I don’t know about baking, but you can definitely use the Shader Effector to change the color of a clone, or multiple clones.

Thank-you Jake works like a charm.

I’m only half the thing I say I am, the other half are me.
