You should try out TextWrangler for editing EDL’s. It makes things much easier.

From my experience de-noise in regards to RED doesn’t work the same as a typical de-noise filter. If you fool around with the setting in REDCINE-X you’ll see what I mean.

You could use Glue Tools with compressor and queue everything up in batches based on reel names.

“If the application is building timelines “trackless” internally, then I would expect that any XML output would be one “track” only. That’s not the end of the world at all, in my book. It keeps the organizational concept of multiple tracks (usually very messy) on the editors plate only, and gives the rest of us a nice, easy to digest timeline.”

I don’t use ours much, but my understanding is that Baselights don’t technically have tracks internally.

Have you tried changing your Video Monitoring settings in the Config? Are you using external scopes too?

I haven’t tried Power Mastering yet, but technically you could lay off to HDCAM SR then capture in FCP or AVID for file based delivery.

Can you load a LUT created in Resolve into the HDLink though?

Have you tried editing your EDL first? You should test out Textwrangler. It’s probably the best tool around for tweaking edl’s, ale’s, and flx files.

    Hey Tyler,

Toss the AAF files into a new bin and it should automatically link up to the related mxf’s in the Avid MediaFiles folder as long as the folder structure is set up correctly. After that you merge the ALE with the clips in the bin.
