I’ve read that you can modify clips/quicktimes in the XML documentation, but there’s not any more info than just a quick reference.

The footage was being recorded onto a Clipster then captured into FCP. The Aux TC(which contained the source TC) didn’t carry over into the XML which was generated from an ALE in the Clipster. It wouldn’t be a as much of a problem if editorial reconnected to the source media in FCP before exporting the EDL, but that apparently isn’t happening.

I meant to say “The offline material has different timecode than the source media so the EDL from editorial doesn’t work in Resolve.”

I’ve heard the 8800 works for the GUI, but I don’t think a GTX285 and 8800 can live in the same machine considering they’ll require 3 power cables to run.

I believe Melrose Mac sells copies of Resolve, along with the Resolve panels.

I use the CinemaQuest lights too for my studio and in my living room. I totally recommend them. The website is actually a cool resource for color critical monitoring geekery.

  • Would that work with a Euphonix?

  • When you have a broadcast monitor, computer monitor, RAID 60, QIO, mag reader, MacPro, Littlite, and panel, things begin to get crowded on a rig and cabling/power becomes more of a hassle. I’m not saying I’d prefer the large form factor of the Wave on set, but it would be nice to have the Euphonix hooked up and powered via USB alone.
