Isn’t that model from the early 90’s or something?

Here’s my office gear at home before I wrapped up the cables and added a couple things. Second pic is of a 7″ USB Mimo touch screen for my Parade since I use the Leader scope on the right for a Vectorscope and Waveform . You can’t really see it, but there’s a Kensington Pro Trackball on the right. It saves tons of space and the 4 buttons/trackwheel are killer. I used to use a Wacom, but it tended to slow me down.

My main point was that you need an extra power supply because it’s not USB powered. I think that’s a hassle when I’m working on set, but that’s just my opinion.

I imagine it’s middle click functionality works a bit different than a normal three button mouse so you should try another model.

Are you holding the middle click as you drag? What mouse are you using?

July 7, 2011 at 12:46 am in reply to: AVID Artist Color (Euphonix) or Tangent Waves Panel?I think you can customize the Euphonix panel for Resolve 8 so digging through menus isn’t much of an issue anymore. I’ve used the Wave and Euphonix extensively and the Euphonix definitely wins in build quality(the rings are like butter) but the fact that you need ethernet and an extra power supply is lame. If you ever want to migrate to other software, the Wave is your best bet because more apps support it.
As far as layout goes, I like the Wave’s track wheel and ball setup because it feels closer to the older da Vinci panels.

You have to link the matte in the browse screen media pool and then you can access it within a node in the color page.

Not exactly sure about the features in Lustre, but you can use mattes in Resolve.
