    Hi Nodari,

Sorry for the delay! Switch to JLCooper Eclipse CX in System Preferences/Control Panels and make sure that the IP and Port Number matches that of your MCS3000.

To see/change the IP and Port Number do the following

    From the manual:

Turn on the MCS-3000 and wait for the unit to be powered up.

Hold down the SHIFT and ASSIGN/UTILITY buttons simultaneously

The current IP Address settings will be shown in the display.

Type in the IP Address using the numerical pad, then press ENTER to accept and continue. Example 192.168.001.0105)

Type in the Gateway using the numerical pad, then press ENTER to accept and continue. (Not Necessary)

Type in the Mask using the numerical pad, then press ENTER to accept and continue. Example 255.255.255.0007)

Type in the Port number using the numerical pad, then press ENTER to accept and continue. Example 10001(make sure its not a common portthat is useable by another protocol)

<i class=””>Power down the unit, then power up the MCS-Spectrum, then the MCS-3000

And here the Link to the manual:

    https://jlcooper.com/_manuals/legacy/MCS-3000_Series/MCS-Spectrum_SiliconColor_Setup.pdf

I still have 2 MCS3000/Spectrum units and they do fine with Resolve.

BTW here is the mapping of the functions on the eclipse panel which are identical to the spectrum:

    Did you use xml roundtrip?
Maybe you can import the new xml and add the new shots to the mediepo!?

    Hi Frank,

what do you mean by “The image in the viewer disappeared suddenly”.

Maybe you activated the Highlight Button in the Qualify Tab in the secondaries window by accident. Without any qualification,
it will turn the viewer window grey or black, depending on your Settings.

    Hi Ralf,

i don´t know about the Lite Version of Resolve, but the MCS3000/Spectrum Combination works more than fine for me everyday.
When you say operating the rings and balls does not have any effect, check if the Spectrum is communicating with the MCS.I think you know that you have to first power on the Spectrum and then the MCS-3800 afterwards to make them communicate!?

It has it´s own Ethernet Connection on the back, so it will probably work.
Keep in mind, that the Transport side of the CX is not only for transport. It also has the ability to control nodes, windows, stills, tracking, versions, memories etc.

I think Light Illusion is offering that kind of conversion as a service.

April 3, 2011 at 4:29 pm in reply to: select ALL Wire frames

    Hi Coulter,

you can´t move them at once, but there is a workaround:

Move the wireframe from one clip to your liking. Right mouseclick on the
clip in the timeline and choose copy.
Select all other clips in the timeline. Right mouseclick and select paste attributes.
In the dialog choose basic motion.

    Cheers,

Try to attach your Monitors to the quadro card to get the mercury engine of it to work with adobe Software.

If you have more than one object to be blurred, I would do that in motion. Send the clips directly from the timeline.
Motions tracker has the ability to track multiple Maskspoints for complex shapes. Not as good as mocha but pretty straightforward with FCP.
