  • I have encountered many people who, in their infinite wisdom, think that they can determine what YOU LIKE. NO WAY, you decide what you like and if it does not appeal to me, just my bad luck. There are no fixed rules for video editing. YOU decide what you like, edit accordingly and ultimately, if the spectators like it too, you get an Oscar.

  • I don’t think there is a wrong or right. Whatever appeals more to you or your spectators is the best way. Had you published the same scene in the two variants I could have given you my personal preference, but they were quite different scenes, so I find it hard to comment.

There is no way to do that.

This is a similar question to what is the best car for the budget? Lots of opinions and no certainties. Some like BMW, Cadillac, Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. each for their own reason. About LaCie I’ve read a number of negative stories, but YMMV. I don’t think you will get a good answer here, but check StorageReview. There may be some reliability reports there.

It is all about marketing, but from my own perspective I find it strange that upgraders from Production Studio Standard pay the same amount as do Production Studio Premium users. OTOH one can argue that the Premium users, even if in the past they have invested more than Standard users, have had the benefits of the Premium package.

The upgrade price for Premium users should be lower than for Standard users, something like $ 599 for an upgrade from Premium and $ 799 for the upgrade from Standard, but that is just my opinion.

Probably in July, might be earlier, might be later. Best call Adobe for details.

No. VISTA is not supported. That is probably the cause of your problems.

PP does not like XVid. That codec is for delivery, not editing.
