I believe that some of the packages are ready, so it may be possible that the Web bundle could be released earlier than bundles with Premiere Pro.

Just another question. Is the upgrade really the same for Premium owner as it is for products that cost hundreds of dollars less? I thought that one of the incentives of purchasing the high end product was that future upgrades would take the greater investment into account and reward those users. If this is true, I personally think this is a crock!

It is all about marketing, but from my own perspective I find it strange that upgraders from Production Studio Standard pay the same amount as do Production Studio Premium users. OTOH one can argue that the Premium users, even if in the past they have invested more than Standard users, have had the benefits of the Premium package.

The upgrade price for Premium users should be lower than for Standard users, something like $ 599 for an upgrade from Premium and $ 799 for the upgrade from Standard, but that is just my opinion.

I called Adobe again, yet another sales lady firmly stated “PPro CS3 will start shipping in mid April” The bundle will be in July.

That does not make sense. The Beta is not coming out until mid April.

That seems inaccurate. Usually the DVA apps have the same release cycle, so holding up one or two apps doesn’t make sense. Considering that Adobe’s PR has been constantly saying “mid-summer”, I would consider June or July to be the release date for CS3.

That’s what they told me. Feel free to contact them. It totally does not make sense to me as well. Why would you offer special for 2.0 purchase and upgrade to CS3 for free while upgrading directly to CS3 cost more? I asked very specifically yesterday to that rep 3x, are you sure, she said yes.

Hey don’t knock it! I am still using P Pro 1.5.1 and Encore 1.5, and I intend to purchase the cheaper 2.0 upgrade, and earn my free copy of CS3 (incl. Encore 3.0) for just $199. Thanks Adobe!

I just called Mac Mall for the hell of it and they said it will not be available until June 28th.
