You can get tally with the latest firmware and a ATEM camera converter via SDI, but I don’t have enough knowledge about tally yet to say more.

You can’t reassign buttons yet. Button 1 is linked to input 1 (HDMI or component), buttons 2-4 to input 2-4 (HDMI) and buttons 5-8 to input 5-8 (SDI). I heard rumours about them working to fix this as a firmware update.

Thelma Schoonmaker (Scorsese’s editor) have used Lightworks since it (and NLE’s in general) was on the first move. But that is not the open source version we know of, I would not trust that buggy thing on a large scale production like a feature. At least not yet.

You can’t. Bluray don’t except 25p, just 24p. Either export as 50i or export the file as 1080p25 with Prores or DNxHD (or whatever), import that into the project and make a 24p timeline and intepret the new file to 24p (this will make to video go 4% slower, the opposite of PAL speed-up that is used for DVDs when converting movies with 24fps to PAL 25fps.

I use a MBP with minidisplay to hdmi adapter and it works great. just make sure to use the same settings as the cameras and us extended desktop and not mirrored, then you’ll get black borders on the side.

Yeah, we tried plugging it into the ATEM but we didn’t get a clean sound for some weird reason… But anyway, we got a hardware delayer from storage and using it now and it works perfectly. Thanks for the replies!

I use a macbook pro, but Media Player Classic was a killer the last time I used Windows. The only thing you need to do is to ensure that you use extended desktop and the same format as your cameras for output, otherwise it wont work.

I got the same issue as you, Gary. And I’m on a Mac Pro and see peak files with this kind of name:
