  • ATEM Production Switcher – Best Playback Software?

After reading up on what the ATEM can/can’t do, I realized I would need a computer hooked up to the switcher to play long clips. Does anyone have any recommendations for software like this? I found something called “PlaybackPro” which looks like it would work however it’s for a Mac and I only have access to PCs.

I use a macbook pro, but Media Player Classic was a killer the last time I used Windows. The only thing you need to do is to ensure that you use extended desktop and the same format as your cameras for output, otherwise it wont work.

I’ll give it a try, thanks.

I use a Western Digital TV Live + which plays back just about anything. The only downsides are the interface which appears over HDMI and can get in your show, but there’s a massive hacking community and I’m researching firmware that circumvents this.
