I think nothing slows down workflow as much as plugins. They are always the bottleneck.

do good graphic cards really enhance Vegas workflow or rendering speed? As I’ve done my research, there is no evidence that Vegas uses GPU or any Cuda technology.

Tom, recently I had the same problem. What I figured out was that it crashed when I pasted events with some Boris plugin applied. When I deleted the effects from the clips, the problem dissapeared.

Maybe Boris plugins or some other third party stuff is the cause.
