You have a clip as a reference?
I got great results today using two different camera angles. I’d quickly zoom in on the wide shot transitioning to the tight and vice versa. With a little motion blur and a hint of glow it turned out sweet. I use this same effect when I do obvious speed changes on a clip. Like a big boom shot at 100% then a bit of motin blur and/or glow to take it to 1000% then again to bring it back to real time.

you’ll have to look at your duration f the motion effected clip then match that in your time compressio/expansion plug if your wantig to match the video.

You’ll actually like the time compression/expansion plug as well as the pitch plug. Fun to tinker with sometimes and every now and again I have to squeeze 31 seconds of dialog to 29 seconds without changing the pitch. Very handy.

There are no snuff laws revolving around this. It’s left up to the programmers to excersise cooth sometimes. I know, that’s a scary thought.
Public Service Announements do not require actual documentation of death. Shows with poor budgets and bad writers rely on the shock factor to pull em through but surely you can tell the story with some clever verbage to some well done music over the right imagery.
I’d step back and think of how a famaily member of the person you are hilighting may feel about it. I have no doubt stations would air it. That’s not the point, they air bad stuff all day long. Always submit what makes ya proud. Never sumbmit what doesn’t.

You may as well dive into After Effects. It can only increase your marketability and working on Avid software, it’s almost a must sooner or later.

I keep a custom made glow transitions (both bcc and sapphire), pre-made shake and scan line effcts and a handful of animated hilights for titles. I useually just have an effects bin for each project tho. Along with seq, talkin heads, broll and music. They all get their own bins. I have a floating music bed bin that I pull form on almost every project. Same with many used sound effects… whooshed and whatnot.

I keep bustin’ my ideler pulley from goosin’ it too hard while cornering. While I know this, I just can’t seem to help punchin’ it cuz it cost me me what a new Charger costs. Almost like I expect it to perform because it’s suppose to. Silly, I know but I’ma be driftin’ this beotch again tonight.
On the same analogy, I guess thats the biggest drag here. They now go from the Intrepid (adrenaline) to the Viper (DS Nitris) and really havn’t a Challenger or Charger to pick from in between. Symphony Nitris doesn’t count. Ya can’t be sellin’ a dodge muscle car with no hemi, man. This was what was great about the Duster (media composer). It had plenty of muscle and lacked enough comfort to remain affordable. While discontinued, these old models have a way of coming back all modernized sometimes. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
