I have been pitching pilots to networks for over a decade and have not made a sell yet.
Yes, you have to have a season in the can before they’ll listen to ya. They do this because they have said yes before and then the production company could not come through. Beavis and Butthead are a great example. Mike Judge submitted a 5 minute pilot unsolicited. They loved it and to his surprise they puchased 6 episodes. He celebrated then scratched his head wondering how he was gonna animate 6 half hour shows in a season. This is how and why the talking to music videos off camera came to be. He was able to animate some genraic reactions from the couch and reuse em over and over. Each episode ended up having about 6 minutes of new animation in em.
My suggestion is to get those episodes in the can to prime yourself better for nibbles but do it on sponsorship dollars. Networks sell sponsorships and when something comes down the pipe already well funded, they tend to listen more. Plus, dream chasing is expensive enough without pouttin your own dollars in a project that statisticly is not going to sell.
that said, the only thing more expensive than chasing dreams is not chasing them. Bitter old men aint bitter about stuff they did in life. Thay are mad about what they didn’t do.

Trademark the name and logo. Much more expensive than a copyright but it keeps em from creativly taking your stuff.
Honestly, I have never submitted a show to any network without seeing something that looks very familiar the next season. These things just keep em from straight up stealing it.
The whole thing otta cost ya less than 3k…. 2500 being for the registered trademark.
You can do much of this online now without an atty at all. I’d do this with the copyright but let a copyright atty handle the trademark.
Also, once your trademark is registered, be aware that you will get a boatload of spam trying to get big money from you for an international trademark. Discard these letters… your already set at that point. -
yuo can grab a plugin for this but it has to be rendered so I keep a low rez tb burn in clip online and use a pip effect for this when i have to put one to beta. If it’s a burn in on a dvd or vhs, I just loop through the beta deck with super on. This is by far the quickest easist way.

720X486 72dpi is the best yer gonna do.
There are a couple of rez-adding photoshop plugins that work pretty well but by in large, video just aint print material. -
If you know it’s gonna be SDI in the end, you are best off capturing it as 720 letterboxed. The resizing may be whats trashin’ your image.

man, I’m missin somthin.
So like, I can take one of my skippin’ master DVD and put it in a diskmaker duplicator, copy it’s 1s and 0s to other discs then play those copies fine… no skip even where the skip is on the master.
That points to player but of course I am trying these discs on multiple players.

I’ll be honest, I get so many error messages, I don’t read em that much. I just translate em in realtime to “sorry, again, you got jacked, man.”
I’ll say try deleting your database files and if that no worky, create some new user settings and if that no worky, reload the software. -
