trying to capture after updating to 2.7.3 to my SDI channel.

    get errors like

    Exception: omfiHPDomain_ERROR_CLOSING DOMAIN
    Exception: DISK_UNIX_ERROR, errno:22, errstr:Invalid argument, filename:creating3
    Exception: omfiHPDomain_ERROR_CLOSING DOMAIN
    Exception: DISK_UNIX_ERROR, errno:22, errstr:Invalid argument, filename:creating4

Any ideas? Everything is solid on this system (Media Composer Software ver. 2.7.3, Mac OS 10.4.10, QT 7.2, 8 gig RAM on G-5 Dual 2GHz, Avid MediaRaid 8 storage, SDI Mojo, JVC BRD-85U D-9 videotape deck, Sony UVW-1800 videotape deck) until very lately.

I’m especially interested in any information regarding the meaning behind these cryptic error messages and what they really represent. I’ve been posting on the Avid forums to little effect…

    Anybody?

    did you reciently load software?
I’ll be honest, I get so many error messages, I don’t read em that much. I just translate em in realtime to “sorry, again, you got jacked, man.”
I’ll say try deleting your database files and if that no worky, create some new user settings and if that no worky, reload the software.

I’m not sure if this is causing your problem, but did you recently update Quicktime? QT 7.2 seems to be breaking a lot of applications.
