No, Bob. I do not expect a response from Avid. I really don’t expect anything from them anymore. At some point we have to stop abusing ourselves with false hope.

you can try deleting your database files from your omfi folder. It’ll rebuild em for you.
If that no worky, try dragging a clip from the drive in question to the drive that is workin fine and ensure it’s not the clip(s). This will help ya hone in on the problem.
As a last resort, I have had luck just renaming my current OMFI folder and letting avid create a totally new one for me next time I capture. In theory, this is the same as killin’ your database files as you’ll be bringing your media files back over to it but I have had luck here where deleting database files did not work. -
you have to do a video mixdown and an audio mixdown with the entire piece first as all precomutes result in nasty banding/interlacing.
This is a MAJOR drag with longfrom shows. Maybe Avid will create a tool that magically creates disc space for 90 minute 1:1 shows going to DVD.ok, prolly not.

you can change your import settings to immprt the entire image. Sounds like you may have 601 selected. Resize may be what yer after.

Your best bet is to run out and shoot what ya need.
Of course you can slow stuff down and/or find clever ways to loop it but I am finding clients paying by the hour really appriciate somone who can grab whats needed in an hour rather than spending 4 on the clock to create it. I know we aint all shooters but there is one in town near you with nothing to do today. Offer 100 bucks for one shot and you’ll have a shot by the end of the day from sombody.

organization is your freind.
When you start a new project, create a bin your your sequences, one for grafix, one for audio, one for b-roll, ect.
Mixing all your elements in one bin will get messy fast. -
as mentioned, a mojo will allow ya to connect an NTSC monitor.
