    Hey,

I’m a total rookie when it comes to setting up hardware. I’m getting a new PC just for Avid Media Composer. I’m wondering what do I need to set up a monitor. Do I need hardware, software..etc!?

Also: where do one purchase a cheap monitor….

    Thank you in advance

    You want a Mojo.
Other transcoders work if you do DV only, but the delay between the image and the timeline will drive you nuts.
If you want a cheap monitor, pick up a used CRT video monitor.

Which monitor are you talking about, the computer monitor / edit window, or an external monitor for video viewing?

as mentioned, a mojo will allow ya to connect an NTSC monitor.
