we’ll need more info than what you’ve provided. What version of Premiere are you working with? What are your system specs? Have you opened the metadata panel and looked to see what info is listed? Does the metadata panel info match the bin listings? What camera is the media coming from?

Macdrive works fine on PC. There’s no issues working with mac formatted drives in a PC environment.

A good backup strategy is essential to a happy post life. And in the case of the guy who’s suing Adobe because he lost hundreds of video files, he made two cardinal mistakes- not backing up his media and not creating a dedicated cache folder. I would venture to guess that he’ll lose the suite against Adobe.

You also can purchase a plugin that will do it very well with little effort in Premiere:

Have you attempted to roll your Nvidia graphics driver back to version 416.16? I also had crashing issues with Premiere 2019 and then I took a suggestion of rolling back the graphics driver and now it seems stable.

In addition to the two I listed earlier in this thread there’s also “Ask an Editor.”

October 31, 2018 at 6:15 pm in reply to: Proxy workflow with merged clips

You should never be using the merged clip function. Adobe should remove it as a feature. Instead all syncing should be done with Multicam. Merged clips is a destructive action and Multicam is not and so only with Multicam can you match frame back to your original material.

[David Mathis] “There is one Adobe forum that is no more. That debate has been settled years ago. “

I agree with David’s thoughts. There are some challenging issues ahead for the Cow community. In a short amount of time, the Facebook forums have become very robust in membership and activity. The Facebook platform is also better suited for quick and easy response. The Facebook groups also have a nice distinction that there’s very little debate and instead most conversation is solution or advice oriented with very little trolling.

[Bob Zelin] ” Reddit appears to be flooded with those types of users, and not professionals asking professional questions. “

You may be right and you raise a good question. I don’t personally use Reddit for anything related to my profession..
