without a doubt the best plugin ever developed for stills has been stagetools’ moving picture. it works very well and is easy to use.

there’s definitely a memory leak bug.
I’m working on MC 5.0.3.5 on osx 10.6.4

I have a large project that when first opened takes 30% of memory and within 30 mins. gets to 100%.

this happens consistently all day long every day.

It’s a 60 min show so it’s sucking up the memory. the only workaround is to quit out and restart avid.

Shazam! That’s it. My timecode numbers remain in sync by creating a new sequence with the same settings and then copying my old sequence into it.

    thanks!!

The footage was all shot DVCPro 100 to tape.

This is the area that FCP tends to get frustrating for me due to there being a myriad of possible settings. I created a project and then brought in the footage and when I then started bringing clips into my timeline FCP prompted me to change the timeline settings to match the footage. And so that’s what I did.

So my timeline settings are set for an editing timebase of 23.98 and with a compressor setting of DVCPro720P60.

Is it the timeline settings that are causing the mismatch?
