Hi, you could look at the Displacement Map Effect which uses a separate black/white/greyscale image to offset sections of the original image.

Hi, yes you can pre-compose the shape layer and then animate it in the main comp. If you use Add Grain instead of Noise you can turn the Animation/Speed to 0 so it doesn’t ‘flicker’.

Hi Harry. As always there are several ways of doing these. The first would probably use Text Animators (the text is typed in and then the Animators affect how it is displayed). The colored backgrounds could be shape layers which again can be animated within the layer’s settings (or you could use solids and masks).
If this makes no sense then, as Dave says, you will need to do some basics tutorials. These are very, very old but are short and will give you a general idea:

Hi Bedo, there are blur effects which you add to your text layer, and the text layer has an opacity setting which you can keyframe. If this makes no sense then go through these very old but very short basic tutorials so you get some idea of how the program works:

Hi Russel, you can draw a line as a shape layer. Toggle open the Stroke 1, set colour/width etc., where it says Dashes press the + twice (this will set up dashes and gap settings) – then keyframe the Offset to have them moving.

Hi Bruce, you can select the viewer window and, in View, create a new viewer – thus having two. One will be locked off and the other will change to the current selected comp. Is that what you’re after?
