    Hi,

I have a comp containing a simple Shape layer.
Fractal Noise and Noise effects has been assigned to the shape layer to have a kind of texture.

When rotating the shape layer, it looks lame as the texture does not rotate with the shape. Also noise is flickering.

I’d like to avoid to create and assign external image textures if possible… is this possible to freeze textures, that follows any shape layer transformations, using only the native AE effects, not image textures?

    I am on AE CS6.

    thanks,
    B.

Can you precomp the shape layer then apply a hold frame there for the effects? Just a guess first stab w/o testing.

Hi, yes you can pre-compose the shape layer and then animate it in the main comp. If you use Add Grain instead of Noise you can turn the Animation/Speed to 0 so it doesn’t ‘flicker’.

Thank you, it perfectly did the trick!
