Can I assume that you’ve set the WMA Audio Attributes to one of the 5.1 choices?

You can make an audio CD straight from the timleine.
First, go to Tools> Lay out audio CD from Events, or create tracks using the N key.

Then Tools>Burn CD> Disc-at-Once.

Muted tracks are not rendered.

According to the Help file: … select the Test only button to perform a test burn without activating your burner’s laser.

It would be nice if the external preview from DVDA was as good as playing the DVD itself, but it’s there mainly to check how your menus are looking in the NTSC/PAL color space.

The display resolution will be no problem. For outputting component, your best bet is probably directly-supported DeckLink cards. The best route for composite and Svideo is to transcode from firewitre through a camcorder or other digital A/V convertor.
