You can import the DVD files directly via Files>Import>DVD Camcorder Disc.

Keep in mind that if you are making a new DVD, Vegas will recompress the video again with significan quality loss.

Mary, there is no exact answer because there are too many variables such as the qulaity of the image, the amount of movement, sigle or double-sided disc, etc.

You can surely squeeze a lot of video onto a disc,but the result may be equivalent to an audio CD with a splotchy, blocky formless accompanyment.

Are you letting go of the mouse to complete the edit? Everything will move then.

In general, I recommend using post-ripple instead. It’s easier to control what’s going on.

Set your media outpoint (yellow flag) to the end of the media in the DVDA timeline.
