I have a voiceover WAV file on the time line. It has sound only on the right channel. Volumn peaks at -1.8 dB.

Then I combined both channels by doing Channels -> Combine. The sound now comes out from both speakers alright but volumn dropped to -7.8 dB at peak.

Why the drop? Any elegant way to have both channels at -1.8 dB? I just want loud and clear voiceover to come out from both speakers in the final product.

    Any input is appreciated.
