Help picking camera for vegas
I am new to video editing and filming and was wondering which is the better camera the panasonic ag-dvc60 or the canon gl2? I am in the process of looking for video equipment so that I can film church services. I want to be able to film with two cameras and send the live footage directly to a computer using firewire. I was thinking about using the sony vegas 6 software to do the editing. Will sony vegas be able to take in live footage from two diferent sources at the same time? Any help or suggestion would be helpful.

No, but there is a chance that Scenalyzer will.

Question 1: Will Scenalyzer work with the sony vegas software? Question 2: Is there a way that I can get the footage from both cameras to the harddrive of the pc with the additional software?

Yes. I use it all the time.

Sure. Capture them separately! If you’re wanting to capture both at the same time, use two computers! Or you can try Scenalyzer and see if it works for you. I have heard of people successfully testing it but don’t know if anyone regularly does it.
