Display your first page. Go to File > Export Menu as Theme.
Your setup will then be available in the Themes tab which you can apply to the other pages.

Default white text on black. Change track compositing mode (button just to the right of the level slider) to Multiply(Mask).

Shorten the audio as if you were trimming the out point, but also hold the control key. For that much of a difference, you may want to tweak with pitch contrl as well (+ and – keys).

There are several ways to create a letterbox mask, but the quickist would be event using pan/crop. There are presets for several widescreen modes.

Yes, you use the Pan/Crop tool along with keyframes for any combination of zooming and panning.

If you are, or will be working in 16:9, get the 16:9.
