Off Topic: Which second monitor 14:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio?
Greetings gurus –
My five year old computer died and I am getting a new one. I am also adding a second monitor. Of course five years ago, you pretty much had only 14:3 monitors. I now see some good options for a 16:9 aspect ratio monitor. This one looks particularly good to me:
My question, as far as editing with Vegas is concerned, would a 14:3 or 16:9 aspect second monitor be best? As usual, thank you in advance for your opinions.

Easy answer:
If you are, or will be working in 16:9, get the 16:9.

I have had the 22″ SyncMaster 225BW for 6 months now and am very happy with it. Mine is obviously the previous version from the one your looking at but the extra width really makes a difference on the Vegas timeline. I only have this single monitor.

I have a Dell 24″ monitor and work with 4:3 and I just love it.

Hi Gary – awesome to hear from you. It has been a while since I have posted on the forum but I do check in several times a day to see if there is anything I could answer.
Thank all of you for taking the time to respond. I will be working in 16:9 ratio so its good to know I should get the same type of monitor. My current monitor is 4:3 aspect. Hopefully I will not run into any compatibility issues with the two different formats.
