Vegas will not display on both the internal and external monitor in play mode, only when stopped or if you scrub by dragging out a time selection.

Of course, TWO dual cores would be great – but more expensive.

I would save a little more and get an AMD 64 dual core system. 4 Gig of RAM will not serve much purpose in a Vegas system.

If you have any mucical inclination at all, definitley check out making your own music using Sony’s Acid oftware.

Soiunds like you’ve got it all working pretty well. I agree that the one track of audio in a nested veg is somewhat limiting. You could always reassemble your audio tracks in the new project with cut and paste (except the track FX).

What version of Vegas are you running?
What happens if you move the media to a different drive?Gary

When rendering AC-3 in Vegas,go into Custom settings and try the following:
Audio Service>Dialog normalization> -31.db
Preprocessing>Line Mode Profile> NoneGary

Try renaming the .vob to .mpeg. That should get you the video portion. The AC-3 audio has to be extracted by third party software.
In Vegas 6, you can drop vobs right on the timeline and get the video and audio.
