That matrix is very avid centric, and there are more than a couple of typos.
DVCPROHD 1080 uses the very same PSF format that is the standard for HDCAM at 1080
the “decimation” does not take into account that the smaller native frame size extrapolates out to the same as HDCam when you take into account that the colorspace for DVCPROHD is 4:2:2 and HDCAM is 3:1:1Gary Adcock

The FCP components of Live events like the SuperBowl and World Series were for graphic overlays, lead in’s and pre-done packages, the systems used video captured via EVS systems as the DVCPROHD codec files and then played back via FCP with the updated info.
the FCP systems were not used for capture.

No— it does not
it actually screws with the image due to the different aspect ratio of the 2 file types.
UC 8bit is the full 1280×720 where as DVCproHD is 960×720Gary Adcock

No reply from Apple regarding this problem, and we’ve ben waiting for this for more than a year now.”it is not an apple problem, it does not work on avid either, maybe you should be pointing that question to the EU which has only adopted the 720p50 standard in the last few months.

Hire someone that understands your needs and expectations, from the tone of your post, it sounds as if your mind is made up as to how you think the process needs to be done.
24p /30p / 60p content does not need to pass thru the FRC if there is not any offspeed footage. all of these things can be handled in final cut.
If the camera op shot all of these differently for a reason, hopefully that knowledge is available on the tape or as part of the production notes, and considering that Varispeed content is not available on all models of HDcam, I assume there was a reason to shoot with a VariCam.Gary Adcock

Easily,
1080p24 10bit captures were kept short just in case (less than 5 minutes each) and 720p24 10bit was a breeze, I was able to capture 30 minutes without a single blip in my testing to date.Secondly the only issue I had on then install was the fact I had the machine set up for SCSI capture, and it took more than a couple
of try’s to get it working do to the incompatibility of the existing Atto Drivers conflicting with the SATA drivers needed for the S2S.Gary Adcock
