No there should not be a sync issue,when outputting from FCP to a 1200a deck were the audio and video rendered or did you do a mixdown of the audio within FCP.

can you give more details? 720p footage or something else, is the deck set properly for the content you are working with. What storage? if you are using FW for storage and it was on the same buss as the Deck?

and yes when using the Component out on the x200 it does get warm, and you cannot use the Component out of the camera at the same time as the FW bus.

Do not use capture now, FCP cannot figure out where to remove the cadence when it does not know where to stop ahead of time ( no TC either)

but not the same tape, somehow some way FCP is not seeing the 24p frames to remove the pulldown.
the FRC will work with the DVCPROHD material captured via HDSI using the Kona cards.
If the FRC plug in does not work there was something else going wrong.

if you updated the OS and FCP did you reinstall the current Kona Drivers?

the import point shout be the folder containing the location- lastclip.txt / contents – NOT inside the contents folder.

are you capturing footage with bars and tone?
is there any speed ramping?

Have you tried the FRC plug in in final cut from the Panasonic Web site (on the 1200a support page)

You would not be having this problem with 25fps content if apple understood that the market outside the US was lager than the market here.

You would think all of the NHK / BBC FCP installs for SD would wake them up.

I regularly work with D5 and my Kona systems ( K2 / K3) without incident in FCP 5.04.
Are you sure its not something else, In my experience of the BMD board/ driver combos do not support the sync the D5 needs for frame accuracy.

I would post on the BMD forums with more info to see.

Teranex does not do a standards conversion — you need to Alchemist or Ukon according to standards set by the BBC.
it is not just the Frame rate that needs to be altered, the image size and color space also need to be modified when converting from PAL to NTSC or vise versa
