I posted this question in a few forums – sorry for the overlap. I’m trying to figure out how to make work copies of my DVCPRO masters using a new AJ1200a (that my producer bought just for this) to a DSR25. The Panasonic has both the HD/SDi and 1394 boards on back – I thought the way to go was firewire into the DSR25 but I can’t get player control. Any thoughts on the proper patch and/or menu settings on the HD deck?

Many thanks in advance. More details if you need them.

Can’t you do component out to the DSR25? and use the TC out to the 25 for a signal.

I can try SDI component out to get pic (altho I haven’t tried yet) but I think that the TC issue will only work thru the DI connection. The DSR25 has no TC input port – unless that’s what the little “control s Input” is next to the LANC port – I don’t know what control_s or LANC are nor do I have any idea what cable to use to connect them.
