  • yep i vote too to have the possibility of a clean “event1” / “event 2” etc…. folder naming structure …

so if you arrange the rendered folders by name the version number used (that is usually written by default on the name of the folder does not affect that

  • THE XML WORKING for real !!!! is my life changing beloved new feature ,
now i can see complex edits while i am grading

i am using it since beta and is a bless :

Hue curve very useful too .

What need to be improved ? :

media managing easier (moving clips around , duplicate timelines , move a group of shots between timeline etc….) l and slightly improved timeline tools ..(ike slip using the ” < > ” keyboard buttons , see the image on the viewer while slip ,have the TC on the viewer in the coform page)

    AND

A good quality Retime (speed change ) (so we can retime in davinci with frame interpolation …)

PS: i am very impressed by what BMD did between v7 and V8 , really well done

“on paper” i think the idea is not bad ,

but honestly i think you “almost” never ending up having on separate layers such different footage that require this …. i think that would require more time on prepping teh timeline that actually grade….

    Peter ,
when Resolve landed on OSX at this price i was very very skeptic about the future development of this tool …support etc…

what can i say ….in less than a year Resolve and the BMD team demonstrated to be one of the best post production tool in the market ,

i want to honestly say thank you for all have you done in such short amount of time and for listening to us so focused on our needs .

    V7 to V8 is a quantum Leap ,
thank you for that and looking forward to the future .

    seems very non accurate …
    GTX 285 is not 50% slower than 4000 ….

Maybe they used a 1 GPU only (and not 1 for the gui + 1 for proc power…)
