    Kevin,

    Thanks for the response.

I’ve never had to o this in the past. I’ve done lots and lots of media managing on fcp. (hundreds of projects)

I did it anyway and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

    Thanks,

    F

Upgrading to Kona 3 drivers 5.1 seems to have resolved the issue.

Same issue here. It looks like the codec we use impacts the frequency of the error.

1080ps23.98 Prores 422 (HQ) with HDCAM Deck and Kona 3 is flawless but as soon as we do upconversions from Digibeta to 1080i 29.97 Prores (HQ)the error shows up.

It also seems to happen less frequently when we capture a clip at a time. Batch capture of multiple clips is impossible.

    Pretty fast. 64 MB/sec

Actually we’re not. Each machine has its own RAID. We are experiencing these issues at different locations as well.

If anyone is using Prores HD (HQ) successfully on a full length show, I’d love to hear about it.

Right now, a simple output to self contained VCPRO HD 720p project (1 hr TRT) is taking close to 5 hours.

We use a Quantum LTO 3 drive – tapes store up to 400 GB. Most excellent solution.

Works via ethernet as ftp server.

We find that a lot of the issues are inconsistent. Prores HD issues are pretty predictable but slow renders and output to self contained in DVCPRO HD are intermittent.

We output 12 masters per week for Networks so we are really feeling the pain.

Happening on 10 different machines in 3 different studios, many different configs.

    Prores.

In 720p it’s better quality than DVCPRO HD.
