Just wanted to give an update on this issue:

I installed some new FCP plugins and somehow, the flop effects was enabled again.

Not sure what the problem was but installing new plugins resolved it.

Is there a way to replay the same RAM preview (which will play the audio as well) that has already been rendered (green bar)d without triggering the RAM Preview rendering again?

Basically I do a RAM Preview. Interrupt it. Press the Space Bar and the audio plays with the rendered video. It automatically rewinds to the start of the playhead position and if I press the space bar again, the RAM preview plays in realtime with no audio.

You would think that if the video and audio has been rendered and nothing has changed, it should be able to play the audio as many times as you need.

Perhaps there is an option to turn this on?

    Thanks,

No I can’t. I think you are probably right – corruption.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the ideas but I know how to apply a filter. For some reasons, the 3 mentioned are greyed out while all the other filters are available to use.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again.

Yep – clip is selected in the sequence. When I choose Effects>Video Filters>Perspective:

Basic 3D / Curl & Flop are disabled.

    Mirror & Rotate are enabled.

  • The answer is to have a mixer between Multibridge Pro and the powered speakers.

  • To clarify – I am using the monitor left & right outputs from the back of the unit directly into powered speakers.

The AJA Gen 10 properly set to 1080i ref solved the issue for me.

Ah! The issue was with clips with no reel names.

Makes sense, since there would be no way for FCP to know how to recapture the clip without a reel name therefore no trimming.

    Mea Culpa Apple!
