    FCP Version 6.0.3

IN > OUT in DVCPRO HD 720p60 02:46sec

I tried to media managed the sequence to hand it off to the fx animator but the media manager tells me it will require 200 GB (copy, Delete unused media, handles 2 sec, duplicate selected items).

A self contained of the sequence is only 2.2 GB so I assume a media managed copy with 2 sec handles should be closer to this than 200 GB.

I did it anyway to check what it was doing with the clips and some of the clips not only are the entire source but lost their timecode.

Another very annoying bug in this increasingly buggy software.

Did you “Make Sequence Clips Independent”? That’s the step that seems to be missing.

    Kevin,

    Thanks for the response.

I’ve never had to o this in the past. I’ve done lots and lots of media managing on fcp. (hundreds of projects)

I did it anyway and it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

    Thanks,

    F

Ah! The issue was with clips with no reel names.

Makes sense, since there would be no way for FCP to know how to recapture the clip without a reel name therefore no trimming.

    Mea Culpa Apple!
