If you mean within after effects: alt-dragging the video from the projectwindow onto the composition (while the square objectlayer is selected in the composition), should replace the layer keeping all expressions, keyframes etc intact.

so far, i’ve managed to get it working using
transform.position=[960,540,index*-1]
transform.xRotation=index*-1

and duplicating the layer 90 times.

Just wondering weither there would be a more advanced and preferably less render-intense method

maybe your default best-settings have been changed by some other user, best to check the details.

My first guesses:
– plugs that need serials
– layers that have been set to wireframe in your comp, whilst the bestrendersetting puts everything in normalview (eg null-layers)
