  • How can I create a field that will accept a video (drag and drop)

    Hi All

I created a plain square object in After Effects and, in using expressions, I animated it to bounce. I would like to be able to drag and drop a video clip onto that object and have the video take on the actions or characteristics of the object,

I tries “search” and couldn’t find any discussions on the topic.

Any suggestions? Or is there another software available to achieve such a task? Or is this too technical for this camper?

    Thanks fro your help.

If you mean within after effects: alt-dragging the video from the projectwindow onto the composition (while the square objectlayer is selected in the composition), should replace the layer keeping all expressions, keyframes etc intact.

another solution would be to pre-comp the layer (leave all attributes). then you can drag footage/images in to that pre-comp and it will update in the main comp…
