Are the black bars visible on the DVD version ? If so, there is not much you can do about it short of editing out the affected frames.

Is that the case ?

Have you tried converting all your files to the same frame rate and format before dropping them in Vegas ?

It must be having a field day trying to match all those different frame rates.

Handbrake is a very useful tool.

By the looks of it, that may be the blanking interval from what looks like interlaced video.

What is your source material from ?

MediaInfo on your original clip ?

MediaInfo on the clip ?

Also, AVCHD has file structure system similar to the menu navigation in DVD-video. If you expand your transferred/downloaded file, you may be able to see the ”missing” video file. Depending on what end use software you are using, some may not see part of that structure.

How are you transferring the file ?

Hi Runar

If you are talking about the ”SUB NOW” feature on the bottom right corner, it not part of the clip. It is a Youtube feature. If you play it, you will see that it it jumps up and down when you hover the mouse over it.

If you want to burn you LOGO on your clip (called Network Bug in our line of work) then you can create one that is 100% opaque or a percentage of opacity to you liking. It can be fixed or animated.

The advantage of burning it in your original clip is that it will be carried over if someone makes a copy.

You can run different instances of Vegas on the same computers. The only problem is that a .veg file made in V 13 will not open in V 14. They are not backward compatible.

I myself, and others, are running different versions without any problems.

As Graham said, ‘‘that’s a steep skills-curve you’d need to apply.” You will need patience but once mastered… sky’s the limit. What you may have to do is use Magix‘s partner Hitfilm. It has a really nice tracking feature (Mocha) plus a few options that will help you in completing your project. Basic Hitfilm is free. You can get the extra features you need one at a time or buy the whole package. As with all new software, there is a learning curve. But once you got your rhythm I am finding it is a great companion to Vegas.

They also have a bunch of well made tutorials to help you out. I’m still learning and finding new applications to use in my Vegas projects.
