Ok, it works well on 2D, but I need it to be on 3D space. A flatten text making an “S” movement.
    Is it possible?

I don’t think so, but you can apply them in Photoshop and then import into After Effects.
But I think this is not exactly what you want, right?

Try to use the CC Cylinder effect, if you just want to bend it a little bit create a big comp and pre-compose it before you apply the effect.

Please, let me know if it helped.

July 20, 2006 at 6:12 pm in reply to: Noise when Chroma Keying

To solve this, on Keylight change the view to “Combined Matte” and at “Screen Matte” increase or decrease the values of “Clip Black” and “Clip White” try to get the bigger contrast of back and white possible…
The black areas are the ones that will not be seen in the final comp.

    I hope it helps.

Bring the picture into After Effects, apply the effect you want and export as a JPEG file, that’s all you need.

For more enteresting lens flare effects take a look at KNOLL LIGHT FACTORY from Red Giant.

    https://www.redgiantsoftware.com/knolsec2teso.html

They have about 40 differents lens effect and you can install them in Photoshop to.

    I hope it helps.

July 17, 2006 at 7:36 pm in reply to: Importing Illustrator files to After Effects

I had this same problem, and then I found that the problem was not the way I was importing it into After Effects, but the way I was creating the Illustrator file.
When you create any Illustrator file if you have something to be on a different layer in After Effects, you have to create a new layer before you start drawing… Just click the “new layer botton” there is an icon for it bellow the layers panel (almost like Photoshop) and then draw whatever you want on that layer, then create a new layer and so on. If you do it, when you open it in After Affects as a composition, it will have as many layers you have created in Illustrator.

    I hope it helps.

July 12, 2006 at 1:13 pm in reply to: How to achieve this fake 3d effect?

Well, I’m sorry to say that, but I think it’s not fake 3D.
Maybe it’s real basic 3D using some pics to texture it, because some angles really rotate, if they were just pics, the result wouldn’t be so real when you see the camera around the girs body.

If it’s fake I want to learn how to do that.
