Aaah, more to the story. A short in the Gold-mount could have certainly done some damage to the Battery. I might be worth shipping the battery to the manufacturer to test. Most new batteries have electronic chips in them for control/display etc. You might have done some damage.

3 years under normal use sounds like that could be your issue. What makes me think that is your camera light. Just running that brings the battery down fast. That has nothing to do with the camera electronics.

How old are the Batteries? They have a limited lifespan. After a while, all batteries stop holding charge. You might be at the point.

Check out Flanders Scientific (They have an ad that shows up along thes side here) and/or TV Logic LCD monitors. They are currently the state-of-the-art for color correction in LCD. They are the first that can accurately match a CRT in color accuracy and Black levels. I have a TV logic and it’s great.

Thanks Steve. I already knew about those settings in FCP, I was looking for some menu on the basic mac system settings for memory allocation to different programs. (There’s no setings for that)
