Thanks Todd for the reply. It just seems that in years past, there would always be an answer to questions by either another user or the Moderator would answer. My question is not a difficult one.
The problem is, I cannot go to the shoot without knowing if it will output 1080i/60. It’s a bit late to show up and the network screams at me. That’s not professional.
No insult to you personally, but how can you be a Moderator on the forum when you do not own, use or even know how a C300 works?

The Cow used to be the place to go for help and advice.
What has happened to this forum? I asked a simple question and not one reply. Even the so-called Moderators don’t reply… WTF?
Lame.

So… Where are the Moderator experts to answer my question?

I’m running FCP7 and have no issues bringing in my C300 files. Are you getting the “Does not recognize” error when doing LOG and TRANSFER? If so, you need to install the latest Canon plug-in. What I found is you need to install the latest Canon plug even thought it may be for the a different (Later) OS system than you have. Just install it anyway and it will work. (I’m on OSX10.7)
Other than that, you can use a standalone program like MPEG Streamclip, but it’s a bit more work.

I had a buddy have the same thing happen. The computer wouldn’t copy the files off the card. He tried a different computer and it worked. So, it might not be the card. Try another Mac and reader.

Hi Tom!
I’ve not had the E-11. I hate stuff like this. Just curious what happens when you get this, while recording or just the camera on? And, how do you get rid of it and reset?

What format (1080/30p, 720/60p etc) and what speed CF Cards did they use?

Not to get on a rant, but I’m pretty tired of every station wanting different specs. It’s insane. I deliver spots all the time to large and small markets and my latest insane conversation was this…
I was checking on Closed-Captioning requirements and they said, “Oh, it doesn’t matter, our broadcast server won’t show CC anyway”. WTF?
So, yeah, if you’re sending to a small market, 99% of the time, if it’s in the right codec, they’ll take it. Sad, but true.

The better way to use the “Broadcast Safe” filter is to export the entire timeline, re-import as a single file and then add the filer. It works more accurately that way. There’s been a lot of posts about doing it that way.
