I just got some files to edit shot on a Canon C100 MkII. The files are in MP4 format. There doesn’t seem to be any timecode on the files. I’ve tried converting them to ProRes with Compressor, Acrok and a couple of other programs. No TC comes across. Does MP4 files out of this camera not have TC? The shooter said he saw TC on the viewfinder as he was recording. I work with C300 files all the time with no issues. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

So… Where are the Moderator experts to answer my question?

Sadly sometimes the hosts have no solutions.

Also the “moderators” in this forum is really just “moderator”… singular.

There have not been any posts from either Don or Mike in here (or on any COW forum actually) in many years. Not sure what their status is.

This is not a problem I have ever heard about. Unfortunately this forum has almost zero traffic these days so not many other people are seeing your post either.

Hope you get it figured out though.
