Is that link still correct? There’s no “Invigomany logo” on that page or in either of the linked pages that I can find.

Maybe try making the background animation from solids with animated feathered masks.

Applying an effect to a null above your footage will do exactly that…nothing. You have to apply effects to layers or adjustment layers.

It won’t automatically update and add the new layer. You’ll have to do that manually. Just import that layer only and add it to your comp.

So you have set two scale keyframes, right? The only way it would remain scaled up and not animate is if you only have one scale keyframe, or if all of the scale keyframes have the same value. So what are the scale values at each scale keyframe?

Thanks, Mark. Yes, I did slide the plate all the way forward with the camera and battery but I’m starting to think that my camera (HVX200) just isn’t heavy enough for this tripod. The max load is listed as 33 pounds here but no minimum load is given:
    https://www.thebroadcastshop.com/service/sachtler/fluid_specs.asp

I tried putting a heavy (20-25lb) toolbox on top of the head and it actually did seem to balance correctly and stay where it’s pointed with that much weight.

I haven’t heard of any type of interchangeable springs before. That would be great if they have them for this model. But I’ve had a hard time getting any information at all about this thing.

Because you only have one keyframe set so there’s no animation. You have to set a keyframe for the starting scale value, then move a second or however far down the timeline and set a second keyframe with a different scale value.
