Check out Footage Firm. They run specials all the time for like nine bucks for a CD and it’s pretty good music. I just ordered ten discs from them.

You’ll probably have better luck if you post in the Cinema 4D forum.

Oooooh, OK. I got it now. But unfortunately I don’t know why it would be doing that. Sorry. Hopefully someone else may know the answer.

You might want to post in the JVC Cameras and Sony XD Cam forums as well.

That’s very strange. I’m afraid I don’t know what to tell you. Hopefully, someone else will be able to help. Sorry. Good luck.

Sounds like a color management problem. Do you have color management turned on? If so, try turning it off or changing the setting to match your other apps.

Paul, I’d love to help but I don’t understand the problem you’re describing.

“My problem, when setting an effect simulation or text animator, the animation is starting at the beginning of the comp and not at the marker point like it used to.”

Do you mean when you do a RAM preview? If so, open the time controls panel and check “From Current Time”.

“I have tried to see if the forces/animators can be adjusted in the layers to make them trigger at a desired point, but I’m not having any joy.”

Sorry, but I don’t know what you mean there. What “forces/animators” are you referring to?

Effect > Noise & Grain > Add Grain should work.

April 14, 2010 at 5:03 pm in reply to: using CC Cylinder in a 3D environment

I just tried it and it worked fine for me. Be sure you are applying the cylinder effect to the layers in the comp that has the camera to maintain the 3D perspective of the cylinders. If you apply the effect inside of a nested pre-comp the cylinders will look kind of flat. Also, don’t move the cylinders by moving the layer. Use the position and rotation properties in the effect to manipulate the cylinders. Otherwise you will get unpredictable results.

If your still having trouble then could you post a screen shot of your timeline so we can see what’s going on?

Turn on the continuous rasterization switch on the layers and also on the nested pre-comp.
