Seriously though, you should convert to another, less compressed and more editing friendly format and see if that does it. It’s probably an issue with the video or audio codec. Just export from quicktime or convert in compressor or sorenson or whatever you have. HTH

He is working with PSD files, not vector, so the layers will come in as raster, which is fine for scaling down without a plug-in. FYI – You can convert those layers to live text layers in AE if you wanted to scale them up or change the text. Layer>convert to editable text

Sure. How to do it depends on what type of animation and wipe you want to do. If you are animating the logo over a graphical background that you want to wipe off and reveal your video then you can just animate the logo however you want and use a mask or one of the wipe effects on the background layer. Then render it out as a movie with an alpha channel. Bring that into Premiere and place it over top of your opening shot. HTH

No, you should not have pixelation when reducing the scale. Check that your comp preview window size (magnification ratio) is set to 100% and your quality to full. Also, be sure that the layers themselves have their quality switches (diagonal line icon) set to full.

I would just convert them to quicktime movies with Apple ProRes 422 or photo jpeg or something like that. You can just batch encode them in compressor in the background while you’re working.

1st check that the color mode is RGB and not CMYK. Do other PSD files work on your timeline just not this one? If not, it may be that you have the visibility of the video track turned off. If you want to copy the layers to a new document then create a new document the same size and shift+drag the layers to the new document. Holding shift makes the layers stay in the same position. Copy/paste is really just for selections on single layers. If there’s nothing selected or the layer is empty it won’t work.

You’ve probably resolved this by now but if not you can create an “action” in photoshop and then automate a batch process on a folder of images. Should do exactly what you want. I use actions a lot and they’re a huge time saver. The photoshop help documents could probably explain them better than I could so I would suggest looking it up there but basically you just open the actions palette, create a new action, hit the record button, open the file, do whatever it is you want to do to the file, save and close, and then stop recording. Then to run it go to file>automate>batch and set all of the options and folder locations as needed and run it. HTH

You could render out the 3D music notes as movies and then use those as custom particles in particular. You may need to use several instances of particular depending on how many music notes you have. Also, check out this tutorial.
