Once you export the proper AAF, load the AAF in Resolve.
Itll ask where the original R3D files are so make sure you direct it to the top root of that.

If its not in the BM config guide then I doubt it.
We had to get a DeckLink for our MacPro just to do this.
Wish you luck cause Id love it if we could use the HDMI for viewing.

I tried to submit a proposal to purchase a system that would have both Avid and Resolve on the same workstation.
The boss suggested we wait till ThunderBolt is ready.
I cant wait but since Im just learning Resolve now, I guess I have too.
There is a vendor up here in Canada (Quebec) that specializes in Resolve and Cubix set-ups.
I’m sure there’s a few in the US.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but what are the benefits of ALE compared to using AAF?
I finally got the hang of going from R3D>AMA>AAF>Resolve8>MXF>LINK
Now of course my next step is to finish editing in MC but still be able to go back to Resolve and re-link to original R3Ds (again but as the prev clips with Resolve nodes) and possibly export to DPX.
Am I driving the wrong way?
