From past experience with the PDW U1, I would rather copy the XDCAM disc (the whole disc) to a drive then access.
We had some issues with AMA not recognizing the same disc during re-ingest.
Got rid of the PDW and stayed with the bigger XDCAM decks.

Itll run fine. Runs great on my MacBook Pro 2009 Uni.
I dont do long formats on it and even I did, I would be smart about it and piece meal the project to save space.
I dont think the app takes up much space, both maybe close to 2GB.
    Not sure about Compressor.

might be a long shot but can you auto-trace in Illustrator then copy and paste vectors?
I wonder if you do that with initial paste then add keyframe to mask, it would tween?
thinking out of my noggin of course 🙂

  • Avoid the Intensity Pro if your planning on using FCPX on Snow Leopard 😛
    Just doesn’t work.
I have to use it in Lion and Im not all that happy with that.

The G-Tech eS Pro comes in at RAID0.
Isn’t the ATTO R680 considered the controller?
Not sure what you mean but letting the CPU manage the RAID?

    At FPCX current state no.
You can duplicate the project then put everything into a compound clip then duplicate that project three times each cut the way you want.
thats the theory, Ive never had to do it.
