Ive been doing that dance with the AvidMediaFiles folder for years even as far back as Meridien.
You would think by now they would have came up with a real solution.

My beef is specific.

Using GoPro footage shot at 29.97 leaves anomalies everywhere specially snow footy.

Works great with my Scarlet at HFR but thats just cheating.

If you update the OS then try re-installing the RED Workflow as well as latest RCX.
I would do same with Resolve.

Choose key clips for AE later or prior.

I do it all the time with my GH4 and RED Scarlet.

Now thats usually post stuff.

I have never liked any of the Optical Flow options in any NLE.

Basic transforms work.

None of the effects transfer.

This will do since its usually one or two clips from a huge set.

Now of course a mass update would be best 🙂

To this day I am still in awe on why “professionals” upgrade to a new OS without a stress test.
I am still on Maverick for most of our Avid/FCPX setups.
Using Yosimete with Resolve.

Your system is almost close to my home back-up workstation that at times I lend to other Avid editors.
Only diff is I have more RAM and a Quadro 4000.
With an SAS and Decklink that old beast works with R3Ds easily.
But yes finishing is a different story.
Most editors dont finish on that one.
