Premiere Pro to DaVinci Resolve Workflow Issue

Hi…

Something like this:

1) You will need to duplicate your sequence in PPro that has the effects applied

2) in that duplicate sequence you will need to select all video, right click and do “render and replace” this will make new clips in the codec of your choice with the effects backed in and the amount of edit handles you specify

3) once that is done….you can export that sequnce as a FCP XML and that should carry to DaVinci for grading…

Hello Alex,

are you sure, that “render and replace” generates a new clip with sfx on?
On my system I just get new clips in a new codec but without rendered effects.

Hmmm…

You’re right, Jo. I’ve taken to exporting a complete sequence and then using the cut detection function in DaVinci. It’s not the greatest workflow, but it achieves the desired result.

None of the effects transfer.

Hi I have the same question.

If I am just hoping to use DaVinci for CC on my sequence. Think I will try this:
1) Apply the NeatVideo effect in PP
2) Export that timeline to something like an Apple ProRes
3) Bring that video file into DaVinci and just use Scene Detect

Might not be the fastest, but I think I will accomplish everything I am aiming for (NeatVideo with PP, Coloring through DaVinci). How does that sound?
