Has anyone tested or have any experience with the ViewSonic VP3881A and Mac?

    Asking for a friend 🙂

No specs for the system in question.

Careful if you have a Mac, it’s still a bit of a nightmare finding a wide screen that goes higher than 1200 pixels height.

When they come up with one that can replace three Cinema 30s, them I’m in 🙂

Every year I’ve been checking and waiting and still nothing to date.

And it would strictly be for GUI.

Nothing can replace my Eizo for grading.

    Specs would help.

    What format are the files?

Is there a mix of codecs on this project?

In the past this would occur (both platforms) depending on the codec used.

Years ago it was a flavour or Avid DNxHD on Windows.

Currently have not experience this in Premiere on both platforms.

    Check your working codec.

Are you wanting to place the screen shots on a video timeline?

    YouTube has decent ones.

    From basic to specialized techniques.

But if you are brand new then try the ones on the Adobe site.

It at least gets to the tools specifically.

I forgot to ask, did this process fix your viewing issues?

I wouldn’t go back to the “original” version unless its RED/ARRI/BMD/etc….

Anything from Sony and Canon AVCHD or whatever it is you can skip.

Export final using ProRes (archival/edit) or h264 (web/sm delivery).

Have you converted to a Proxy or ProRes for editing?
